Who We Are

ASAS International was founded to address the critical needs of the Harari community, both locally and within the diaspora. By investing in education, economic stability, and cultural preservation, we strive to create long-lasting, transformative change. We work through a network of dedicated volunteers, donors, and partners to implement programs that directly impact people's lives, ensuring that every contribution leads to measurable results.

Our Story

ASAS was founded by a small group of individuals from Canada and United States in late 2017.  It started as a WHATSAPP group.  In a short period, founders were able to mobilize Harari’s world-wide to the call to avert the tragedy that was befalling our beloved country.  Hararis all over the globe have responded quickly and energetically.  Many projects have been started under the leadership of ASAS with a title Our Story

Sustainability Through Property Development

To ensure long-term financial stability, ASAS International has invested in a **rental property restoration project**. This property will provide sustainable income to support our ongoing programs and initiatives.

The property is a structurally sound yet abandoned building that requires extensive interior repairs. Once completed, this project will provide a safe, comfortable living space for tenants while generating revenue for ASAS International’s charitable work.

Project Summary

  • Total Project Cost: $102,500
  • Amount Spent: $32,000
  • Remaining Funds Required: $70,500
  • Estimated Completion Time: 6 months to 1 year (dependent on funding)
Projected Gross Income: $1,400 – $1,600/month (or $15,600 – $18,000/year) Net Income (after expenses): $600 – $800/month (or $7,200 – $9,600/year)

This consistent revenue stream will help sustain vital programs such as education support, emergency medical care, and community development efforts.
